Visitando la iglesia de los jesuitas encontré esta maqueta (que desde el punto de vista arquitectónico no me gusta nada), en la que alrededor de una cúpula central se disponen capillas para cada una de las diferentes religiones en señal de convivencia y respeto. Como la torre de Babel, pero a la inversa. Es decir, que en vez de intentar que todos tengamos la misma lengua y seamos un mismo pueblo, sea la diversidad religiosa la que se junte en el edificio (y con ella las distintas lenguas y pueblos). Irónicamente los arqueólogos sitúan la torre en Iraq (Babilonia). Sería genial que pudiéramos llegar a esa utopía (la de la maqueta) y evitar todo lo que está pasando. Adjunto el "texto" que hace referencia a la imaginaria torre que comparo con la maqueta, en ella es el mismo dios quien la destruiría...

Biblia. Génesis 11.1-9.

"1 Todo el mundo hablaba una misma lengua y empleaba las mismas palabras.

2 Y cuando los hombres emigraron desde Oriente, encontraron una llanura en la región de Senaar y se establecieron allí.

3 Entonces se dijeron unos a otros: "¡Vamos! Fabriquemos ladrillos y pongámoslos a cocer al fuego". Y usaron ladrillos en lugar de piedra, y el asfalto les sirvió de mezcla.

4 Después dijeron: "Edifiquemos una ciudad, y también una torre cuya cúspide llegue hasta el cielo, para perpetuar nuestro nombre y no dispersarnos por toda la tierra".

5 Pero el Señor bajó a ver la ciudad y la torre que los hombres estaban construyendo,

6 y dijo: "Si esta es la primera obra que realizan, nada de lo que se propongan hacer les resultará imposible, mientras formen un solo pueblo y todos hablen la misma lengua.

7 Bajemos entonces, y una vez allí, confundamos su lengua, para que ya no se entiendan unos a otros".

8 Así el Señor los dispersó de aquel lugar, diseminándolos por toda la tierra, y ellos dejaron de construir la ciudad.

9 Por eso se llamó Babel: allí, en efecto, el Señor confundió la lengua de los hombres y los dispersó por toda la tierra."

Y ahora me pregunto...habría una capilla para mí, agnóstica?

Nota: tanto el nombre como la comparación expuesta son mi interpretación de la maqueta, no la del arquitecto.

Visiting the jesuits church I found this scale model ( from the architectonic point of view I don't like it at all), in which there is a central cupola with chapels attached arround, each one of them for each of the different religions in signal of coexistence and respect. Like the tower of Babel, but the other way around. That is, instead of trying to have the same language and culture, the religious diversity is the one that is joined in the building (and with this, the different languages and cultures). And now I wonder... would there be a chapel for me, agnostic?
